THE EARTH MOTHER RENEWAL PROJECT

ABOUT  US

A BIT OF BACKGROUND

The Earth Mother Renewal Project originally began in 1986 as an informal group of agricultural educators, consultants and highly skilled hobbyists who volunteered their personal time, knowledge and skills to help individuals, families and grassroot organizations. Our goal was simple - to help others  to learn basic agricultural skills and techniques and how to develop and implement small projects that would enable them to become more self-sufficient and self-reliant. Over the years, we were able to assist with projects on family farms and with community groups all over the US and Canada.

Sadly, by 2012, several of our key volunteer members had retired or passed away. They shall be missed. This forced us to stop offering workshops and taking on new projects. Over the next 6 years, our remaining activities dwindled due to lack of manpower.

OUR ORGANIZATION

In April of 2018, The Earth Mother Renewal Project reorganized and registered with the Wyoming Secretary of State as a Wyoming  Unincorporated Nonprofit Association.  Our 100% volunteer organization consists of a small management team and a coalition of individuals, groups, organizations, government agencies, and companies who volunteer to teach courses,  lead workshops and to provide assistance on projects in agriculture and related topics. All of are projects and activities are provided for free or at 'at-cost.'

We qualify under Section 501(c)(3) of the IRS regulations as a very-small, tax-exempt, charitable organization with annual gross receipts under $5,000.  Donations to our organization are tax deductible.  All financial donations are used to reduce actual at-cost expenses for our no or low-income students and participants.  No one involved receives a salary, stipend or similar form of compensation.

The Private School Licensing Office of the Wyoming Department of Education has determined that The Earth Mother Renewal Project meets the exemption under education statute 21-2-406(a)(iv): "A nondegree granting school teaching techniques of outdoor recreation, leadership, ecology or conservation domiciled in the state of Wyoming;" and does not need to register as a Chapter 1 Proprietary School.  Our exemption status can be verified by contacting Private School Licensing at: 307-777-6210.

We truly are a non-profit, both  by design and operation.  Our new organizational structure will enable a wide variety of experts to contribute to the greater good we have always envisioned. Helping others to help themselves.
